Photo #9

So, looking at the following photos, some (mainly my husband) might say that I'm a mean mommy.  Really, I just love my kids and don't want to miss or forget a moment of their lives.  So, yes, I took pictures of Molly while she was sleeping and, yes, I did end up waking her up.  But her nap was going on 4 hours, so she was just fine!!!  The only thing I'm sad about is that I didn't manage to get into Jackson's room before he woke up.  Anywho, I call this series of photos "Leave me alone, Mommy!  I'm trying to sleep!"

ENJOY! :)

8 Down! 357 To Go!

Tuesdays never fail to been the craziest days of the week for our family!

I always have my ladies Bible study all morning, Jason has a regular meeting with his advisor, and we have a couples Bible study in the evenings.  On top of all that, Tuesdays seem to be the only day I can ever schedule any sort of doctors appointment.  Today is no exception. (My appointment is at 2:20 this afternoon after having been rescheduled from last....you guessed it...Tuesday.)

With all of that on my plate, I usually have to work extra hard to get a good photo on Tuesdays.  Thankfully, I have the best subjects for my canvas.  Is it really possible to take a bad photo of my children?  In all honesty, yes it is.  Thanks to the wonder of digital cameras, I can take 100 shots just to get that one.  That one photo that stands out and makes its way to the blog for the entire cyber world to enjoy.  And I do hope you enjoy it! :)

Photo #7

We finally got to get outside and enjoy all the fluffy white stuff!  It was Molly's very first time playing in the snow!  I had wanted to take the kids out sooner, but we couldn't find Jackson's old snow pants (and I just couldn't bring myself to buy new ones).  Finally, I found them this morning and we wasted no time in getting the kids outside.  Molly absolutely LOVED the snow!  Eventually, her face was getting red so I took her inside while Jason stayed out with Jackson.  The moment I opened the front door, Molly started crying and saying, "Outside?!  Outside?!"  I settled for putting a scarf over her face (which she actually didn't fight) and took her back out.

Photo #6

So far, so good! Six posts in a row! We'll see how long this lasts.

Yesterday, after making my post, Jason pointed out that I had more photos of Molly than Jackson. It doesn't help that whenever I take the camera out, Jackson runs and hides.

Today, I made a point of pointing my camera at him much more. This was weather he liked it or not. Of course, the moment I brought it out, he ran out of the livingroom, through the kitchen, and into the bathroom. I blame the McGinthy men for this. (You know what I'm talking about. Don't play innocent with me!)

After calling his name several times and turning picture taking into a game, I managed to get a great smile. He's such a handsome little man!

Photo #5

Today was a busy day. Like all Saturdays at our house, it was donut day. This means Jackson gets to go to the store with Mommy or Daddy and pick out donuts for everyone for breakfast.

Next, Jackson had his very first swim lesson. I wanted to get photo's of it, but it was a parent/child lesson and Jason had to work on his thesis, so I didn't get to. But Jackson was absolutely amazing! He listened to me and the teacher and, even though he couldn't do everything yet, he tried to do everything asked of him! I couldn't have been more proud!

Then, after looking online day after day after day, the camera lens I had been wanting was finally at a Best Buy near enough for us to drive to. It had been sold out and on back order for a few weeks! So we all headed down to the Dayton Mall.

After I got my new lens, we decided to try some place new for dinner. We went to Rusty Bucket. It was okay. :/ Not bad, not great.

Finally, we got home and it was bath and bed times. I realized I had not taken any photos and quickly ran to get the camera. I managed to get one that I thought was pretty cute.

Here, Molly is looking through Jackson's basket of books to pick one out for bedtime. She took a while so, eventually, Jackson picked "Go Dog Go!" for her. :)

Photo #4

I know it's early, but something about this photo just struck me. Something about her sweetness and curiosity. If only you could have seen her about an hour earlier. She truly had woken up on the wrong side of the bed. She screamed the entire way down the stairs and for at least the next 30 minutes. She was in one of those moods where I don't have a clue what she wanted and I don't think she knew either. In the end, she sat on the couch with her big brother on one side of her and her sippy cup on the other. Life seemed to be good. :) In this photo, it was play-doh time. I think God created play-doh to save mothers when their children are getting cabin fever.

3/365

Today, I'm having difficulty deciding on one photo, so you're going to get more than one. Initially, I thought it was going to be a pretty dull day. Then the snow started. What a beautiful snow!!! So I took a few pictures out the back door. No, I didn't actually go outside. I opened the door, snapped a few shots and then went back to my hot chocolate.
Then, this evening, the kids discovered they could crawl under Molly's bed. They had SOOOOOO much fun under there. I loved it because it was easy to keep them in one place.
