Photo #41 Captured Shadows

We've been getting more and more snow.  All of us are getting a case of cabin fever but we did take a moment to stop and enjoy the beauty of the snow.  Jackson and Molly enjoyed watching the snow fall out of Jackson's bedroom window.  I enjoyed watching them spend some quality time together.

Photo #40 My Little Valentines

We had a delightful Valentines Day this year.  I woke up to wonderful cards from my kids and my husband.  Had our usual stop at Starbucks on the way to church.  Then, we enjoyed the start of a new sermon series about marriage titled "Love Affair."

When we got home from church, Jason wasn't feeling his best so he went upstairs to lay down for a little bit.  This gave me the perfect opportunity to have the kids make their homemade valentines for Daddy!  Jackson agreed to be my valentine, Molly is Daddy's valentine, and Jackson also said that "Momma is Daddy's valentine."  :)

After nap time, we headed out to the mall for some playtime for the kids.  We wanted to have dinner at Red Robin but decided a 30-40 minute wait was far too long for our hungry kids, so we came home and had spaghetti and meatballs.

Overall, not really the most eventful day, but it was a fun and relaxing family day.

Photo #39 I'm Not Tired

Can you figure out who's bed time it is?  Amazingly enough, they are absolutely terrific when it comes to going to sleep.  We read two stories, sing two songs, say our prayers, give hugs and kisses, and it's off to bed.  Every night, I thank God he gave me such wonderful children!

Photo #37 Getting Cozy

As you all know, I am on a crazy knitting kick!  I just can't get enough of it (even though I am working on three different projects right now).  Last night, my friend Robyn taught me to cable knit.  I'm so excited about this because it opens up a whole new world of knitting possibilities.  I also really wanted to knit my own "coffee cozy," so this was the perfect project to use.  Below, you will find my completed coffee cozy with my first attempt at cable knitting.  I'm so excited about this.  Get your orders in!  The wait list is adding up!

Photo #36 Selective Sharing

Molly absolutely adores Jackson, but everyone has their limits.  Apparently she draws the line at most foods.  Today, the kids were enjoying some orange slices and Jason asked Molly if he could have one.  Molly promptly replied, "here you go, Daddy" and held an orange slice out for him.  Not long after this, Jackson asked Molly for a slice.  She responded by holding her bowl tightly to her tummy and saying, "NO."  After giving Jason another slice, she did eventually share one with Jackson, but we can see who the most important man in her life is. :)

Photo #35 More Snow Days

If it is possible, my children are fruit-aholics! They could live on fruit day after day. This mornings fruit was clementines. I love them because they're easy to peal. The kids love them because that makes it get to their mouths faster.

Today was another snowy day.  The kids and I are suffering from cabin fever.  They're watching too much TV and I'm spending too much time on Facebook.  We needed a change.

Today was a day for paint.

First, we painted with bubble wrap.  Then, we did some finger painting.  It was a wonderful day to get messy and that's just what we did!
