Soccer Game, Baby Shower, 5K... OH MY!!!

We had a super busy day, today.  First, the kids had a soccer game which didn't go quite as well as past game.  But the kids had fun and that's what matters.

 

Then I had a baby shower which is always fun!  I forgot my camera. :/

 

After that, Jason ran a 5K in town.  The kids and I cheered him on.  He came in third place for his age group and also finished under 30 minutes (which was his personal goal).

 

Here comes Daddy!!!

At some point in the day, the kids had a tea party and I'm pretty sure every single stuffed animal was invited.  Mommy and Daddy, however, were not invited.

Rain?

It's a little late for us to be getting rain, but we'll take it!  The kids get so excited any chance they get to play in the rain. Amazingly, it has been pouring all afternoon.

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Jackson and Molly decorated Daddy's birthday cake!  They were SOOOOO excited for Daddy.

Who needs furniture?

Over Labor day weekend, Jason and a few of his friends put in beautiful new flooring in our livingroom.  It has taken us a little while to get the room put back together.  We're still not completely there, but who needs a couch anyway?  We have sleeping bags!  Jason had to work yet another Saturday and it was actually raining today, so the kids and I decided to have a relaxing movie day.  The kids LOVE getting to use their sleeping bags, so they didn't mind not having a couch to sit on.

Family Soccer!

This season, soccer has become a family affair.  It's Molly's first time playing on a team, and it's Jason's first time coaching.  The league was very low on coaches and the kids wouldn't be able to play if someone didn't step up to coach.  I'm proud of Jason for getting out of his comfort zone to have fun with his kiddos.  I think they all did a fantastic job.  Molly had a blast and seems to have pretty nice ball control, and Jason did a great job of keeping the kids interested and having fun.  I think it's going to be a wonderful season for all of us!
