Photo #158 Celebrate!!!

So, I didn't actually take any photos today.  I'm cheating.  But that doesn't mean this was a boring day.   In fact, it was a very exciting day!

After several wet training underpants and pull-ups, it finally seemed to click!  Sure, it takes M&M's but Molly stayed dry for the entire afternoon!!!  I could almost see the gears going in her head.  She sat on the potty and said, "I get M&M!" and I replied, "Only if you go pee-pee in the potty."  She paused for a few moments and then said, "I DID go pee-pee!"  Sure enough.  She did!  From that moment on, the shear mention of an M&M and she was ready to go!  Of course, we still have a ways to go, but we are well on our way!

Since I didn't actually take any photos today, I'm using an older one from when we first got her little potty.

Photo #157 Mommy's Little Helpers!!!

This morning, the kids had a chance to help me bake some chocolate chip cookies!  It got a little messy.  Jackson poured flour on the counter.  Molly squeezed the softened stick of butter.  But we all had fun and made some yummy cookies!

And here is a little preview of my latest knitting project.  Since I'm sure you can't tell what it is, it will eventually become a SOCK!  It's a little bit nerve racking since it is like knitting with toothpicks.  Otherwise, I'm very excited to knit my very first pair of socks.

Photo #156 Getting a Little Corny.

Today, I had a hankering for corn on the cob.  Thankfully, our local Walmart carried some!  I didn't have high expectations for it, but at least it wasn't frozen.  It really wasn't too bad!

This was also Molly's very first time eating corn off the cob!  I think she liked it!

Photo #155 A Mish-Mosh From Today!!!

Today was a pretty low key day since we knew Jason would be coming home today!

As we do every Saturday morning, it was donut day.  Normally, Jason and I alternate Saturdays going to get donuts with the kids while the other one sleeps in a little.  Since we didn't have to bring the donuts back home, the kids and I decided to have a donut picnic!  It was fantastic!  Unfortnately, it was a spur of the moment idea so I didn't have my regular camera with me.  You'll have to settle for droid photos.

After we got back home, the kids watched a Dora movie and we all just relaxed.  Molly found the Cinderella doll that I had bought for her at the outlet mall!  She is very excited to have it!

At the end to the day, we made another stop at our local pet supply shop and picked up a few more things for Benny.  One of those things happened to be his new tag!  Jackson helped pick it out!  I think it's perfect!

Photo #154 We're Getting Ready!

About 11 days left!   But who's counting? :)  Benny's playpen was delivered yesterday and, today, I started getting things arranged.  I wanted a chance to get the kids familiar with items that belong to the dog, not them.

Here, the kids are admiring the playpen.  As Jackson said, "The puppy is going to have SO much fun in here!"

Photo #153 Just Lounging Around

The kids have always had a fascination with our recliner.  I'm not sure what it is, but the always want to sit in it and NEVER alone.  There must always be two sitting in it.  No, it's not really big enough for two adults, or even an adult and a child, but they sure try!  It's nice when they decide to sit in it together.  Here they are watching some pre-naptime Umizoomi.

Photo #152 Bubble Blast

Today was a super great day!  Yesterday couldn't have been much worse and today couldn't have been much more wonderful!  The kids and I went up to Ruidoso, NM to visit a pet boutique.  We've been there before, but this was the first time we actually had a pet to shop for!  I'm really looking forward to taking Benny there.  The kids each picked out a toy for Benny.

After Ruidoso, we went home for so me lunch and then intended to meet up with some friends for a free kids movie at the local theater.  Unfortunately, the theater was full before we could get in, so we decided to go to The Bouncing Place.  Unfortunately, The Bouncing Place was closed.  Wasn't exactly our lucky day/  We defoded tp reschedule The Bouncing Place for tomorrow morning.

After all of my activity promises to the kids, I needed to come up with something fun.  I realized that the base Kidsport (indoor play area) was open and off we went!

Jackson and Molly were the only kids there and we had a great time!  Spent an entire two hours there!

On our way home, we had a bit of an early supper together at Chili's and then headed home to play with some bubbles.  We got a new bubble blower at Walmart earlier in the day and Jackson was very eager to test it out.  Here are some fun photos of the kids enjoying the bubbles

Photo #151 MORE BENNY!!!

It is so wonderful that we are able to go visit with Benny pretty much whenever we want.  We just have to give them a call ahead of time and then it's puppy playtime!!!

We went to visit with our little guy again, tonight, and I took a few more photos.  It was so exciting because this was the puppies first time outside!!

He just keeps getting cuter and cuter!!!

Photo #150 Bonus Post

I had a little fun taking photos of Molly this evening.  I just wanted to share my beautiful little girl with you!

Like my mother, I am quite taken by little fingers and toes.  So, I snap shots of them whenever I have the chance.

Photo #149 Happy Daddy's Day!!!

The day started off with a couple homemade cards and breakfast in bed!

The rest of the day was, well, lazy!  What could be better for Father's Day, than to just relax and have fun at home!  The kids watched some soccer with Daddy.  We played a bit of Candyland.  Jackson and Molly even helped Jason play his soccer video game.  All in all, I think it was a pretty nice day.  I hope Jason thinks so, too!

Photo #148 What A Day!!!!!

Oh, what a day this has been!

It started of with Jackson waking up with a fever.  Molly was sick on Tuesday, so I wasn't entirely surprised by this.  As a mother of two little ones....I must confess I kinda like when they're sick.  All he wanted to do was cuddle, cuddle, and cuddle somemore!  I even let him take a nap in our bed.  He fell asleep while I was taking a shower.

Next, we had a new kitchen table and chairs delivered today!  I think they look fantastic! (eventually, there will only be one table in this room)

And last, but most certainly NOT least, we picked a PUPPY!!!  It was a pretty hard decision since there were about sixteen puppies to choose from!  But, in the end, Jason and I are very confident in our choice.  The kids had a blast and all the puppies were great for them.  Now, let me introduce the newest member of our family, Benny!!!

Jason and I were both quite taken by this little guy!  He has a wonderful, playful personality and he's easy going with the kids.  We look forward to many wonderful years with him.

We can't, however, take him home just yet.  He's only three and a half weeks old, so it's going to be a couple weeks before he is able to leave his mother.  But we will be able to visit him often until he's ready to come home with us.

Photo #147 100 Degrees is Hot Anywhere!

Jason had a softball game at 5:30pm.  Whenever his games are early enough for me to take the kids, we really try to get there.  Unfortunately, it's hot outside.  No matter where you are, 100 degrees is just hot.  Humidity or no humidity, it's HOT!  But the kids and I stuck it out for half of the game.

I really do enjoy getting to see Jason play.  He loves to watch sports, but he enjoys playing them even more.  (And he looks really good in the pants!) :)

Don't ask me what the "DP" is for on their hats.  Someone found them in a closet and they were about to be thrown out.

Photo #146 Getting Back to Home Life

Today, it was time to get back to fun with a little bit of work thrown in.

This morning, the kids helped me plant a couple elephant ear plants.  Note to anyone who uses Miracle-gro potting soil and has small children, those are NOT jellybeans in the potting soil!  Don't worry, nothing was eaten.

After getting dirty outside, we went inside to enjoy some Team Umizoomi.  Umizoomi is the newest favorite cartoon for my kids.  I don't mind it too much because I love watching Jackson and Molly get up and dance and sing along to all the songs.  This is the first show they have really done that with.

And to think, yesterday, Molly woke up with a 103.4 temperature.  We don't know what was wrong with her, but she's sure feeling better now!

This afternoon and evening was spent constructing.

While at Downtown Disney, I hit up the Lego store and bought a set ofput i legos to make an airplane.  When Jason got home from work, he put it together for Jackson.  Here is their final product!

While they were playing with legos, I worked on the curtains in Jackson's bedroom.  The ones we had were just a few inches too short for Jackson's windows.  Feeling a bit crafty, I decided I would add a little fabric to them instead of buying new ones.  (This saved me at LEAST $25)  Here is my final product!

All in all, it was a very busy day.  I think I'll jump in a bouncy house tomorrow.
