Photo #137 Bring Out the Big Guns!!!

We took another trip down to El Paso today.  Yes, to go to the El Paso airport.  I can't decide if the airport in my newest friend or my greatest nemesis!

Anywho, while there, we made a stop at Target to pick up a few things.  One of those things happened to be squirt guns!  Molly is still working at the mechanics of it, but Jackson is loving them!

Photo #136 Shooting for the sky!

I realize Jason doesn't really like me taking random photos of him (sorry hunny), but I thought this photo was fun since it looks like he's about to shoot the ball right over the mountains!

Photo #135 So, I've missed a few.

We have been a little busy around here!  Grandma Scharnick came to visit on Tuesday, and Mommy's best high school friend (Teri) came on Thursday!  We spent most of yesterday out of the house, so today was spent inside.

My oven has never been on so long and used so much!

First, I made my second attempt at duplicating the Starbuck's lemon loaf.  I am told that what I created is not the same.  It's BETTER!  It was a great success!  If you can imagine this, it was even more moist than the delicious Starbuck's lemon loaf/pound cake.

Then, we made banana cupcakes.  And finally, baked spaghetti for dinner!

At lunch time, Jackson and Molly helped Teri put all the chicken nuggets on the tray.

We are having loads of fun around here.  I'll try to get to the blog every day, but no promises! :)

Photo #133 A little of this. A little of that.

GRANDMA IS HERE!!!  Hip-hip hurray!  For Molly's birthday, she bought materials to make over Molly's bedroom!  We are all so excited!  It is going to be adorable.

While getting our materials at our friendly neighborhood Walmart, they were collecting money for vets and giving away flags at the entrance.  I did my part and Jackson and Molly went home with their brand new flags!  Note to self, a flag with a long, narrow, wooden stick to hold it up..... not a toy.  Thankfully, no one has been hurt, but we have had to take away the flags.

While working hard on Molly's new bed spread, Grandma had to take a little cuddle break when Molly said, "Grandma, hold me!"

When selecting materials for Molly's room, we chose a throw pillow as our inspiration for the rest.  Here is the delightful pillow and the bed spread Grandma made!

I think she likes it!

Photo #132 You can come visit now!

My house, for the most part, is finally clean!  There are about 5 boxes left.  I think it is looking great!  I can finally share a photo of the master bedroom and bath!  Enjoy my house!  Come visit sometime!

Photo #131 Another Paint Job!

I painted a little in the kids playroom today!  They love it.  I think it looks pretty cute! :)

And here's a little bit of Jackson being his usual goofy self!

Gotta love those dimples!!!

Photo #130 Day Camp

Camp Sivell's.

In 2000, there was a fire at the camp.  Below, you can see where the fire came down.  The miracle is, after being told to evacuate because the whole camp would be lost in the fire, the fire "jumped" the camp, and went up the mountain on the otherside.  As if that wasn't amazing enough, the fire turned around, came back down, and proceeded to jumped the camp, again!  I just don't see how anyone can think there is no God after something like this.

Jackson had his first pistachios.  He loves them!

Photo #129 A Trip to Las Cruses

Today, I need out!  The number of things to do in Alamogordo got to me today.  So, I left.  I got the kids in the van and off we went to a bit more civilization in Las Cruses.

There may not be a ton more to do, but they have Target and Starbuck's.  They make me happy.

On the way back home, I decided I need to stop at a wayside and take a few photos so you could see how amazingly beautiful it really can be here.  I realize I don't give this area the credit it is due when it comes to beauty.  Unfortunately, I didn't bring my regular camera with me, so you'll have to settle for cell phone photos for now.

San Augustin

On the way home, it got to be New Mexico cloudy.  :)

Photo #128 Big Girl. Big Day.

Every time I look at her, it seems like Molly is more and more grown up.  This time, she has been working hard at riding Jackson's tricycle.  If her legs were longer, she would have completely taken off!

Today was Jackson's last baseball class.  Unfortunately, Jason was unable to come because of a late work shift.  Jackson was...well...distracted.  Basically, he is a typical 3 year old boy with the attention span of a .....SQUIRREL!  Here are a few photos of his last day!

One of the other parents was nice enough to throw a little party for the kids to celebrate making it through all six sessions (I think the parents are the ones celebrating).

Photo #127 Splish-Splash

This afternoon was spent enjoying the pool, again.  This time, I managed to actually get both of the kids IN the pool.  It took me standing in the pool and putting Molly into the water, but she loves it!  However, they did start their play time by watering various parts of the yard.

First, some weeds.

Then, the pavement.

Next, a crack in the pavement.

And finally, a rock.

After watering everything in sight, they finally hopped in.  No, really.  Jackson jumped and jumped and jumped!  This one is for you, Susie!

And with every great jump comes an even greater splash!

In the end, the kids were delightful and fun was had by all.
